Berlin (dpa) – Formula One driver Lando Norris of McLaren had his watch stolen after the Euro 2020 final, his team said on Monday evening, confirming he was «involved in an incident.»
Norris shared videos and pictures on Instagram of his visit to Wembley on Sunday to follow the Euro final match between his home country England and Italy.
The Italian side won 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw.
McLaren said Norris «was unharmed but he is understandably shaken» and could not give further details «as this is now a police matter.»
Norris sits fourth in the drivers’ championship, while McLaren are third in the constructors’ standings.
On Sunday, F1 heads to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
